Made slowly, by hand
ERDA began at Grandma's table in Hawaiʻi, with a few trays of stones and a spool of silver wire. It is still small. Every piece is chosen, strung and finished by hand, a few at a time.
The photos are taken on Grandma's hands because she is the one who tries every piece on first. A stone takes millions of years to form. It looks most like itself on hands that have planted, cooked and held other hands.
